Description: "Universal" cast iron reversible rim lock, patd Nov 15, 1857, Branford Lock Works. Lock is same on both sides with a triangular latch that is rides along the triangular lip of the keeper. Lock is reversable by turning the lock over and mounting it on whichever side of the door you want. Cleaned inside, Original Black Finish complete with knobs and cast iron rose. A night latch is on the back edge of the lock which allows you to lock the knobs from turning without using the regular dead bolt. Lock measures 5 x 3 1/2" without the keeper (1" Wide).
